A touch of your Grace...

A chapter new
a story old
an open book
with bends and folds;
A broken heart
some broken ties
a weary soul
deserted eyes.

A solitude
a dark recluse
all locked up
a spirit consumed;
A pool of blood
some unsure cuts
her trembling hands
a blissful hurt.

The pain consumes
and time slows down
another stranger
an unknown town;
A life forlorn
another realm
eternal peace
a journeys end.

Before she drowns
before she falls
one last breath
one final thought;
A struggle within
a cry for help
a new found closure
receding steps.

A healing touch
a twist of fate
an answered prayer
amazing Grace;
An angel descends
he makes her believe
she finds new hope-
An ecstasy.

A ray of light
a leap of faith
the end of despair
a higher solace;
A reason enough
a brand new life
she now stands tall
no longer denied.

Something borrowed...

thinking of the good old times
then fearing getting left behind
thinking of the me in you
something borrowed
something blue

thinking of the lines we crossed
all of my destructive thoughts
and that crazy head of yours
something borrowed
something lost

thinking of the morning light
thinking of the honest lies
somewhere else you gotta be
someone wrong
but something right

thinking of the years that passed
looming darkness and the fall
and a love that couldn’t last
someone stronger
through it all

thinking of all the lost times
finding reasons, missing signs
a chance to find what matters most
something clearer
something mine ~

Weathered...

Someday she will breakaway from this cloud of dust; but not today...
Someday she will let her inhibitions go and trust; but not today...

Someday she will learn to love again and move past the hurt; but not today....
Someday she will breathe easy and life wont be a masquerade; but not today....

Someday someone would reach out and she wont be cold; but not today....
Someday her miseries would be nothing but a story untold; but not today....

Someday she will be loved and no longer forlorn; but not today...
Someday she will find her way back home; but not today...
